Jalandhar: Fulfilling one of the prime responsibility of the University; Lovely Professional University has decided to conduct India's largest job-fair. Talking to Media, LPU Chancellor Mr. Ashok Mittal informed: “Our University is going to organize India's largest Two-Day CAREER cum JOB FAIR-2012 on 21st & 22nd April at the Campus. For the Job Fair close to 50 MNCs & other national level companies have been invited from more than 15 different sectors. Understanding our corporate responsibility, we have also decided to open the job Fair not only to our students but also to the students of other colleges, Institutes and Universities." Briefing more on the companies that are participating, he mentioned: "MNCs & national companies like TCS, Dell, Vodafone, Maruti Suzuki, Godfrey Phillips, AIRCEL, Gen Pact, SBI Life Insurance, Techies and many others are participating in this fair." 


He further told: "To participate in the job fair the registration fee has been waived off and final & pass out students of MBA/B Tech/M Tech/ M Sc/Diploma (all streams); MCA, B Pharma /M Pharma/ Bio-Tech/ BBA/ BCA/B COM programmes can participate." Also, the jobs would be for both entry level and advanced positions. Some will provide on-site interviews and fill job openings. In fact, this job fair is an opportunity to find jobs and internships with many area employers. For this occasion, students are also advised to dress suitably as for a job interview.
