MBA Students of LPU won National Summer Internship Contest (NSIC) held at Jaipur

*More than 40 different top B Schools of the country participated

Jalandhar: MBA II year students of the School of Business of Lovely Professional University, Praveen Kumar and Anantha Venkatesu have brought laurels to the university. Both have won first prize in National Summer Internship Contest held at Jaipur, where students from B-Schools across the country like Symbiosis Pune, IRMA Gujarat, and Indian School of Business (ISB) etc participated. The competition was to present the best summer internship project prepared by the participating students from 40 different top B Schools. LPU students’ unique project for ‘students to buy books on affordable price and re-sale of books’ was not only applauded with first prize but also got high appreciations from the Board of Directors from Industry.
The winner students presented their entrepreneurial venture ‘nbooks’, which forwards a simple online process for students to purchase books on heavy discounts. Under this project, which is presently running at LPU Campus, students can select books for semester; get these delivered; study for the whole semester; return the books; and, enjoy good discount. The biggest appreciation for this project is that the director of the host university offered LPU students to also start ‘nbooks’ concept in his University itself. One other student of BBA (Hons) final year, Sambav Suri stood 3rd in this grand event.
Congratulating the winner students, LPU Pro Chancellor Ms Rashmi Mittal said: “Students should come forward to participate in such contests as these are to develop excellence and competitive spirit among them. These organisations provide dais for students to share their experiences and showcase their inner worth.”
