Jalandhar: One of the biggest names in Punjabi entertainment world, Diljit Dosanjh and other world-famous Punjabi pop stars rocked LPU students during largest live Punjabi music & dance festival hosted by LPU at its campus. Singing star Diljit was accompanied by Dr Zeus, Jassi Gill, Babbal Rai, Prabh Gill & A-Kay. All of them presented their best performances and set students to Punjabi heritage and culture. Students kept singing, swaying, stamping and shrieking throughout long hours of the live concert. Through this live show- the huge part of Cross Blade Musical property, the famous artists started the largest Punjabi musical tour in the country from LPU campus, Jalandhar. Cross Blade is the largest Punjabi Musical Tour in the country, and has started from Jalandhar to be followed in different locations throughout the country.
Welcoming the great artists to the campus, LPU Chancellor Mr Ashok Mittal said: “We are proud and happy to see the start of ‘Musical Tour’ of world acclaimed artists from our campus in Jalandhar. I wish that they may always be successful in their endeavours and keep on motivating students towards “Punjabiyat”. Mr Mittal added: “I anticipate that the students would have imbibed much from the live performances which were highly entertaining and innovative".
Diljit presented his all time hits: Soorma punjab nu belong karda, Main Fan Bhagat Singh Da, Meri Buggy, Lak 28 Kudi Da, Aaja Bhangra Pa Laiye, Channa Door Hi Na Hojin (Sad) and others. Whereas, Dr Zeus presented Kangna ;Jassi Gill presented Pyar Mera; Babbal Rai: Tera Naam, Sohni; A-Kay: Kuriyan ya MaaPe; and, Prabh Gill: Billi Akh, Pehli Vaar etc to let the students get set in Punjabi moods. It was all an out of the world experience to infuse students in the Punjabi streaks.
Diljit famous for ‘Jatt & Juliet’, one of the biggest hits and award-winning film in the Punjabi film industry, thanked LPU students: "I extend my thanks to all the students who kept watching and listening to our performances hours together. I'm glad to live up to the expectations of you all, and your faith in me."
