Vodafone conducted special drive for LPU's MBA and B Tech female-students

*Selected students have joined their duties as Management Trainees


Jalandhar:  Telecommunications Giant Vodafone has selected six girl-students of Lovely Professional University as Management Trainees (Band 1). This placement drive was especially conducted for 2014 passing out female students of MBA (Marketing) & B Tech (ECE & EEE).  Selected students have joined their duties at Mohali (Chandigarh) at annual salary package of Rs 3.50 lakh plus incentives.  Prior to their selection, students faced written test and personal interview. It is to be highlighted that these students are yet to appear for their final examinations. Selected students Akriti, Nimmi, Anshika, Komaljeet, Rupinder & Palkin are jubilant on their coveted success.
Congratulating successful girl-students, LPU Pro-Chancellor Mrs Rashmi Mittal said: “I am happy that our industry focused girl- students have started working with one of the most recognisable companies in the world. It is indeed an excellent career start for the students, as they will get great hands-on experience of Vodafone business in real-world situations. We wish that our students may add more shine to their career in future too!”
On this success, an MBA student Anshika Diwan said: “This selection is going to make me grow and design my future in a novel way. I always followed the instructions of my university teachers sincerely, and this made my selection even before completion of my study program. Moreover, this placement will certainly open many other bright career opportunities for me.”

In fact, tech companies have lined up with several initiatives to encourage the role of women in the technology sphere in India. Spearheading, Vodafone has selected LPU girl-students to further groom them for bigger roles in future.
