Keeping in view the emerging and roaring digital marketing trends successfully driven through Snapdeal, Flipkart, Jabong and many more, the School of Management of Lovely Professional University organized an important guest lecture to provide global exposure to its MBA, BBA, B.Com students. Chief Human Resource Officer and Director on Board of top fashion industry,
‘Jabong.com’, Mr Ashu Malhotra was invited to sensitize LPU students for this. He guided students on how to lead a world of ‘Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity and Ambiguity’ (VUCA World). During interactive and pragmatic lecture sessions, Mr Malhotra prepared students to learn and act to be a brand name and commercially viable in their life. Mr Malhotra ‘conversed’ with students about e-commerce, digital revolution, reinventing business set ups, different way of thinking and more in detail. Mr Malhotra supported his lecture with explanatory presentations so that they may play wider role in ‘Make India Campaign’ of PM Narendra Modi.
With years of experience in business transformation, organization development, corporate governance, training and development, Mr Malhotra has vast global exposure by working extensively in Japan, China and France. He has handled large and complex roles scaling up to 15000 employee base, by controlling both human resource and industrial relations.
Appreciating LPU environ for students development, senior corporate leader encouraged students to be perfectly employable: “Students must take pride in being Indians as India is a great land of opportunities. It is only up to students how they take and work in accordance to grab the opportunities. World is very competitive and students will have to harness their capabilities by taking part in all allied activities to their program. Look at the fast changes happening in the economy of the world and India.” In simple key-liners he asked students to plan life properly; do not exist only in the present; have vision to see through things; keep on taking feed-backs from others; understand their limitations; amend errors committed; be honest to self; and, desire to learn to be a better human being than the previous day spent.”
LPU Chancellor Mr Ashok Mittal and Pro Chancellor Mrs Rashmi Mittal felicitated the visiting guest. Chancellor Mr Mittal informed: “LPU works for the growth of university students by inculcating in them values of innovation, creation, service to society and professionalism. LPU students are enjoying great placement in almost all sectors. In addition, such important guidance through interactions with experienced corporate leaders keeps on students preparing for further rise in the life. We are thankful to Mr Malhotra that he has put forward a new perspective for our students.”
