Lovely Professional University MBA student Mohammed Yasir Ali from its School of Business has outdid IIM (Shillong & Raipur) students and 1.8 Lakh other of 580+ colleges from across 80 cities of the country. Yasir Ali won 2nd position and a cash prize of Rs 50,000 in ICICI Stock Mind competition conducted across India. ICICI Center for Financial Learning holds this competition every year for business students. It is a unique and interesting competition designed to check the knowledge of participating students in the stock market by using virtual money.
ICICI Stock MIND event is India’s biggest virtual stock market competition where lacs of students from top notch Universities and B-Schools across the country compete. Student from Delhi School of Economics won the first prize and student from Banaras Hindu University Varanasi has been declared on third position.
Yasir Ali who hails from a small village Goushihata in Mirganj of Siwan (Bihar) has proved his abilities as 'the Best Budding Investor' in this Season 4 National Round of the event. Jubilant Yasir shares: “Coming thousands miles away from my home to LPU has ultimately proved out to be a top decision of my life. The way my teachers at LPU developed and sharpened my skills is highly appreciable. Ever motivating, they encouraged me to participate in the event and I a simple villager outdid the students of top considered institutions of the country. I am proud to share that this could only be possible through the kind of education I got at LPU. Now I am confident enough to make career in equity market as well. I am thankful to all my mentors at LPU who trained me well to excel others in this highly competitive world.”
