Hon’ble Union Minister of Finance & Corporate Affairs Arun Jaitley will visit Lovely Professional University on 18th September 2016 to inaugurate Start-Up School at LPU campus. He will also inaugurate three-day International Day of Peace to be celebrated amid rich cultural diversity of 29 Indian States & 50+ countries at the campus. His Excellency Governor of Punjab & Chandigarh Administrator VP Singh Badnore will preside over the celebrative occasion. Many other high-profiled guests will also grace the occasion and address students and staff members of the university along with Hon’ble Union Minister & the Governor.

LPU Chancellor Mr Ashok Mittal informed: “LPU is ever keen to prepare its students as job-creators rather than job-seekers. For this LPU stresses on entrepreneurship and a full-fledged department is devoted to it. Following PM Modi’s Startup campaign some of our students have got one of their projects listed among 134 selected entities on the Startup India website, with recognition from the Ministry of Commerce & Industry (Government of India). Seeing a great passion and enthusiasm among our students to be established entrepreneurs, we are launching LPU Startup School where farsighted LPU students will be able to incubate and bring into shape their innovative concepts. I am thankful to Hon’ble Union Finance & Corporate Affairs Minister who has readily consented to be the Chief Guest of the occasion. It is indeed a great indication that Government of India considers that entrepreneurship is important for the growth of India.”
