- Occasion was three-day ‘Young Vertos Business Summit 2016’
- “India needs great doers than advisers”: Railways Minister Suresh Prabhu
- The topic covered during Video Conference was “We in the Development of India”
On the inaugural day of three-day ‘Young Vertos Business Summit 2016’ organized at Lovely Professional University, Union Railway Minister Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu interacted with LPU students. Addressing students on the topic “We in the Development of India”, through video conference, Mr Minister emphasized upon the importance of fast changing world and particularly India. He said: “All should keep pace with the changes and developments. Each and every one of us should do well in our respective domains. Instead of forwarding ideas to others one should stick to his or her own work with perfection. India needs great doers rather than mere advisers”.
Urging students to keep an open and flexible mind, Mr Minister asked students, “Avoid becoming outmoded. Everyone should do what is the best for him/her and then excel in that. Always think about your own sphere of doing, and you will be able to bring a great change universally. Think about what you can do for your country. One must concentrate upon innovative ideas in one’s own sphere for development.” Taking example of a woman he explained if a mother cares for her kids very well, she is indeed doing a great job for development of the country. Similarly taking the example of Mahatma Gandhi and Karl Marx he told students that both of them worked in accordance to their belief and brought great change all over the world, being all alone. Instead of giving ideas to others, these leaders tried those ideas themselves and brought a big change. Similarly youth can implement their beliefs into real works through which great changes can be made.’
Railway Minister Mr Suresh Prabhu also promised to meet LPU students physically on some special occasion to converse more on this topic. Many other renowned motivational speakers, founders, CEOs are also slated to guide thousands of participating LPU students on different days of the conclave, to last up to 18th November.
